The Road Not Taken, by Robert Frost (HD)
This is a personal favorite-a simple yet iconic reflection on a major, life-changing shift in one's life. This masterpiece of Robert Frost is always a source of inspiration.

The Road Not Taken
by Robert Frost (1874-1963)
during his "Mountain Interval," 1920
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

This is my music video tribute to David Tolk's peaceful, contemplative instrumental music. He granted me permission to use his music in the video that I created for use in my "Forgiveness" workshops. I thought it fitting to include a voiceless version so that everyone could enjoy his music alone while taking in some of the beautiful footage and photography. Thank you, David, for letting me use ...

Forgiveness is a deeply personal subject that is deeply rooted in our lives. Even if you never think about forgiveness, its power affects you every day of your life-by its lack or by its presence. This video is a summary or my "last words" presented at the end of the workshop on "Forgiveness"-it is not meant to be a comprehensive statement about the subject. This is the first version of a summary video used at the end of my workshop on the subject of forgiveness. This is the NTSC, less-polished version. Go see the updated, better version in HD: ua-cam.com/video/Vi9tjZkCXvM/v-deo.html I am eternally grateful to David Tolk, who has granted me permission to use his beautiful music, "In Reverence." I highly recommend his other works; he is truly gifted...

    What annoying background noise pollution - it is totally unnecessary, drowns out the spoken word & ruins film. QuestioVerum2010, have you ever been in a wood ? And if so, was it one where the wind rustling through the trees and the sound of birdsong was replaced by background "music" pounding & thumping away in your ears ?

    both roads are equal, its about having the strength and courage to choose instead of waiting and regretting

  • @Alacrity01
    @Alacrity01 Рік тому

    The often overlooked element-that the roads were both about equal, and equally unknown-is what gives this poem it’s depth and beauty. In life we only get to walk one road. Whichever we’ve chosen, the other is always unknown (can’t rewind time, even if you can make a different choice in the future). In that way, the agency we have is not in whether we choose the “fairer” road or the road less traveled-our choice is in the narrative we tell ourselves about our lives. We have a choice of whether to look back with regret or pride-and therefore, to build ourselves up, or talk ourselves down.
